Dear Families,

What an amazing Sports Week we had last week! It was fantastic to see so many of our Surrey Square values in action—enjoyment, community and responsibility. A big thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to support the younger children during their sports mornings—your presence and encouragement really helped make it special.

Years 4, 5 and 6 had a brilliant day at Reed’s School for their Sports Day. The facilities were incredible and gave our children a wonderful opportunity to challenge themselves and shine. Huge thanks to Quentin for leading such a well-organised event, to Ruby for her support as PE Coordinator, and to our brilliant sports coaches Nick and Michael, who brought so much energy and passion to the younger years' sports mornings. A big thank you to the whole team!

This week, Year 6 are getting ready for their end-of-year show—and we cannot wait! As always, they have devised, written, performed, and run the tech themselves, showing real responsibility and originality. We know it will be a memorable performance—see you on Thursday!

Our STEAM projects are also reaching their final stages. These interdisciplinary projects ask children to solve a real-world problem by bringing together skills from science, technology, engineering, art and maths. Parents and carers are invited to a mini class assembly to see the outcomes—so look out for your invitation!

You should have received an Arbor mail with the end-of-year letter, which includes key information about staff changes and your child’s new class for next year. Please do read this carefully if you haven’t already done so.

To celebrate being named Primary School of the Year, we’ll be holding class parties on Thursday 24th July! Children are invited to come to school in their own clothes to mark this brilliant whole-school achievement and enjoy a special day together.

A reminder that school finishes for the summer on Friday 25th July:

1:30pm for Year 6

1:45pm for all other children

Nursery will only attend their graduation event.

Have a great penultimate week before the summer holidays.

Matt
