Dear Families,
It’s Sports Week at SSQ and there’s a real buzz of excitement in the air!
Each morning this week we’ll be welcoming families in for Sports Days from Nursery to Year 3 and the Hive—celebrating physical activity, teamwork and enjoyment. Meanwhile, Years 4, 5 and 6 will be heading to Reed’s School on Wednesday for their annual Sports Day. We’re incredibly lucky to have this partnership, giving our children the chance to use top-class facilities including race tracks, long jump pits, hurdles, tennis courts and even a swimming pool—plus a delicious lunch provided by Reed’s!
A huge thank you to Ruby and Quentin for organising the logistics so smoothly, and to our brilliant sports coaches Michael and Nick, who will be leading the activities across the week.
On Thursday, Year 5 are off on their one-night camping trip to Sydenham Woods—a fantastic stepping stone in preparation for their PGL residential next year in Year 6. We know they’ll have a great time and return full of stories and confidence!
The Year 6 children are working hard for their original show ‘The Glitch’ NEXT WEEK. More information about how to get tickets is below.
After a wet and soggy start this week, the temperatures are due to rise again, so please make sure your child comes to school with a water bottle, pre-applied sun cream, and no jumpers on the warmer days. As always, we’ll be providing plenty of shade and water breaks throughout the day.
Have a lovely week ahead!
Matt
